THIS IS JANA
Jana Wohlgemuth is an abstract artist based in Hamburg, Germany. From an early age, she loved expressing herself creatively, exploring colors, shapes, and surfaces. Art has always been like a language to her, flowing naturally and intuitively. From childhood through adulthood, she remained deeply engaged in her creativity. Professionally, she was successful, but in a field unrelated to creativity. At first, she believed this was the “right” path, yet it never truly fulfilled her. Art remained her inner driving force and the place she always returned to.
In 2023 and 2024, she first lost her grandfather and shortly thereafter her father. Overnight, she could no longer paint. Overwhelmed by grief, she had to endure inner struggles and rebuild her life from scratch. During this period, her partner reminded her to follow her true passion and reconnect with her art. Step by step, she found joy, inner stability, and a renewed sense of purpose.
At this turning point, she realized that she only wanted to do what genuinely makes her happy. She became aware of the preciousness of life and vowed not to waste a single moment on anything that she did not feel fully and deeply. She wanted to make proud those she had lost, who had been close to her, and above all, herself. Art became her anchor, helping her process grief and rediscover herself.
Today, Jana Wohlgemuth works internationally as an artist, following an intuitive and emotional approach. She draws inspiration from nature, her travels, landscapes, interpersonal experiences, and the quiet moments in between. Luxury Abstracts reflects her fascination with elegance, exclusivity, and timeless, refined aesthetics. For her, luxury is not about excess, but about intention, quality, and uniqueness. She works with strong structures, multiple layers, and predominantly neutral colors and tones, creating depth that goes beyond the surface. Her works are created as limited editions for collectors who value authenticity and the subtle impact a piece can have in a space. Her art is meant to be felt as much as seen. Each piece invites contemplation, closer observation, and reveals something new with every encounter.
