PHILAUTIA

This painting is part of my OKTÓ series, OKTÓ means eight and explores the eight kinds of love. Philautia stands for self-love. I began this piece unsure of its direction and almost “ruined” it by not staying true to myself. Then I trusted my instincts and let it unfold. Now it’s my favorite. While happiness can be found in many things, it must first be found within ourselves, only then can we truly share it.
